Ribbon Palms / Livistona decipiens |
Native to Australia the Ribbon Palm or Ribbon Fan Palm/Livistona decipiens is a slightly cold hardy palm tree that can handle temperatures within USDA hardiness zones 9-11 although some people say they even do well in 8b. When young, the Ribbon Palm needs plenty of water but once maturity is reached they become quite a drought tolerant palm and do not like wet soggy areas. Ribbon Palms are tall, slender palms that can reach heights of 30'.
