Mule Palm or Syagrus romanoffziana x. Butia capitata

Here is an example of a specimen or hybrid palm called the Mule Palm (Syagrus romanzoffiana x. Butia capitata) which is a cross between the Queen Palm (Syagrus romanzoffiana) and the Pindo Palm (Butia capitata). Combining these two varieties gives you a beautiful palm tree that has long flowing fronds that range from silver-blue to silver-green in color. Stand alone beauty make the Mule Palm a great centerpiece palm!

The Mule Palm is a great choice for those who love the look of a tropical palm but are in areas too cold to grow them. The Mule Palm is a very cold hardy palm tree withstanding temperatures down to 10 degrees f. It's also a drought tolerant as well as a salt tolerant palm tree.

Dypsis decaryi or Triagle Palm is a uiquely shaped palm tree native to Madagascar. The triangular shape to the trunk gives the palm its name and contributes to its exotic appearance. The Triangle Palm (Dypsis decaryi, Madagascar Palm) is a moderately fast grower reaching heights of 25' and thriving in USDA hardiness zones 9-11 prefering warmer temperatures, well draining sandy soil and full sun.

The Triangle Palm pictured is a nice little example that our tree farm installed for our landscape customer in Apollo Beach, Fl. We have worked with this customer for several years transforming his landscape into his own personal tropical paradise!

Wholesale Royal Palm Trees - Roystonea regia

Our tree farm has been busy at work today on Anna Maria Island, Fl installing this large group of Cuban Royal Palms (Roystonea regia). This landscape customer will have a tropical oasis of tall, green Royal Palms surrounding their home when everything is finished up!

Roystonea regia or Royal Palm is an elegant, tropical palm of which two varieties exist: The Cuban Royal Palm and The Florida Royal Palm. Both can reach heights of over 40' but the Cuban Royal Palm has a bulging, fat, rounded base whereas the Florida Royal Palm has a more slender, column like trunk. The Royal Palm prefers allot of water and looks its best with an adequate supply. These palms thrive in zones 10a -11 but can emdure tempertures down to 28 degrees f. for short periods.
