This was a landscape installation done for one of our landscape customers in Apollo Beach, Fl. The customer was thrilled with this gorgeous Dioon spinulosum that we installed for him. The Dioon spinulosum is fast growing for a cycad. It prefers a subtropical or tropical climate, and partial shade or filtered sun. It handles moisture and humidity better than most cycads, but must be kept in well-draining soil like nearly all cycads. It is hardy down to the mid-low 20s F.
