Our tree farm has been busy at work today on Anna Maria Island, Fl installing this large group of Cuban Royal Palms (Roystonea regia). This landscape customer will have a tropical oasis of tall, green Royal Palms surrounding their home when everything is finished up!

Roystonea regia or Royal Palm is an elegant, tropical palm of which two varieties exist: The Cuban Royal Palm and The Florida Royal Palm. Both can reach heights of over 40' but the Cuban Royal Palm has a bulging, fat, rounded base whereas the Florida Royal Palm has a more slender, column like trunk. The Royal Palm prefers allot of water and looks its best with an adequate supply. These palms thrive in zones 10a -11 but can emdure tempertures down to 28 degrees f. for short periods.

Our wholesale palm tree farm was busy this weekend working on the installation of multiple Royal Palm Trees (Roystonea regia) for our landscape customer in Gulfport, Fl. We created a very tropical look along their seawall and around a pool and dock.



The Royal Palm or Roystonea regia is a fast growing and tropical palm tree that thrives in USDA Hardiness zones 9b - 11 but can withstand temperatures down to 28 degrees f. for very short periods. It can reach heights of 50' when mature.

This is a beauty of a landscape project that we did in Mira Bay Apollo Beach, Fl. Our landscape customer counted on us to design and install something they would enjoy coming home to for years to come, and we were successful! You can the see the large double and triple foxtail palms (wodyetia bifurcata), the smaller Bottle Palms (Hyophorbe lagenicaulis), and a pair of small Pygmy Date Palms (Phoenix roebelenii) that are arranged to create a nice symmetrical appearance.
