Mule Palm or Syagrus romanoffziana x. Butia capitata

Mule Palms installed in Belleaire, Florida.

Here is an example of a specimen or hybrid palm called the Mule Palm (Syagrus romanzoffiana x. Butia capitata) which is a cross between the Queen Palm (Syagrus romanzoffiana) and the Pindo Palm (Butia capitata). Combining these two varieties gives you a beautiful palm tree that has long flowing fronds that range from silver-blue to silver-green in color. Stand alone beauty make the Mule Palm a great centerpiece palm!

The Mule Palm is a great choice for those who love the look of a tropical palm but are in areas too cold to grow them. The Mule Palm is a very cold hardy palm tree withstanding temperatures down to 10 degrees f. It's also a drought tolerant as well as a salt tolerant palm tree.

Our tree farm has many hybrid palm trees such as the Mule Palm and others. If we don't have what you need we can get it no matter how unique or rare the palm tree or plant may be. Give us a call today for more information or for a free quote.
